The Hammon/Rankin Project is a Melbourne-based quintet playing contemporary, Australian improvised music written and
arranged by Andrew Hammon (trombone) and Louisa Rankin (voice).
The music of H/RP strives to emulate the small ensemble writing of Wayne Shorter's classic 60's Blue Note albums and the compositions of the Dave Holland Quintet while probably sounding nothing like either.
